It’s a…

Last night the hubby and I ditched the big girl with her aunties and headed to the hospital for the long awaited anatomy scan.

We were both so excited to see the little goober floating around, wiggling fingers and toes, squirming like crazy. And we were not disappointed. Baby was a moving and a grooving. But not exactly in the way the tech was hoping for. This baby appears to be just as stubborn as big sister. I had to roll this way. And that way. And then this way again. And then lay flat. All while the tech poked me and prodded me and moved the wand around trying to get the crazy kid to flip the way she needed in order to get the correct pictures and measurements. Finally, baby decided to smarten up and let her get the necessary photographs.

The coolest thing about this ultrasound was that I felt the baby move while watching the movements on the screen a few times. That is something that certainly did not happen with my little lady. Thanks to anterior placenta with her, I didn’t feel movement until a few weeks after my ultrasound. This time, I’ve been feeling movement for a few weeks and so it was neat to see the movements while I felt them.

Anyway, enough of that.

I’m happy to announce to you all that …

IT’S A…..

Baby #2 Ultrasound 002

BABY!!

Ha! Ha! Got ya!

Did you really think it would be that easy?

Nope. We didn’t cave. We held our ground and made it clear to the technician that we wanted her to steer clear of the nether regions during the scan.

So we’ll be back sometime late June or early July to let you know if we’re team blue or team pink.

For now? Team yellow it is.

As anxious as we were to find out what KP was going to be, I think IF we decided to have another I'd want to be surprised!

MAN - I was all excited too! I admire you being able to wait - I can't... I'm way to OCD about planning and having a name. :-)

You ALMOST had me convinced that you caved. But I knew you wouldn't. Go team yellow! For us (w/ Kirsten) it was Team Coffees/Tans/Ivories/Browns! :-) So happy to hear baby is healthy. (P.S. Are you gonna get a new blog name now?)
