17 Weeks

How far along? 17 weeks. According to The Bump, our baby is now the size of an onion.

Total weight gain: I haven't weighed myself this week.

Total inches gained: 6 inches - which is a 2 inch increase since last week! I really popped this week.

Maternity clothes? Living and breathin' them! The problem is, most of the items I bought are summer items so I've had some trouble finding combos of things to wear while it's still cool. I am still loving my cardis!

Sleep: This has been a rotten week sleep-wise. I've had a headache since Monday and my legs are achy. Thanks to the changing weather. The rain and dampness always does this to me. I have been restless at night, meaning when I wake up, I am still achy and headachy! Hopefully this weekend I can get some decent rest and feel better.

Cravings: Still eating the cottage cheese on a daily basis. Also, one thing that I have craved on and off throughout the entire pregnancy is fish and chips. Every so often (like on Monday) I just get a hankering and I have to have it!

Aversions: Just Chinese food.

Best moment this week: Having FOUR people who did not know I was pregnant congratulate me or ask me when I am due. Looks like I am finally really starting to look more pregnant and less chubbster!

Movement: I'm still feeling the gentle movements occasionally. They haven't really started becoming more frequent or more intense yet, but I'm sure very soon he'll make his presence known!

Gender: I still think boy but why? I have no idea.

Labor Signs: Nope.

Belly Button in or out? Innie ... but ... with each passing day it seems to be getting flatter and more even with my belly. I have a feeling I will be facing an outie in no time at all.

What I miss: This week, there were a few times where I would have really enjoyed a nice tall glass of wine.

Weekly Wisdom: If you are feeling hormonal and weepy (which I may or may not have been last night) try to take time to explain to your partner, or whoever it is that may be feeling the wrath of your hormones, that you are in a "one of the moods" and ask them gently to watch how they speak to you. Last night, I found myself becoming very weepy over things that simply should not make me weepy. I told E, I am in a sensitive mood and I feel like I am going to cry so please be warned. For the rest of the night, he was really good with not joking around about things that might get me upset. Remember ... these hormones can make you crazy!

Milestones: The baby now has his/her own unique fingerprints and I am starting to show!

you're so cute getting excited that people know you're pregnant and "less chubster". i always worry about telling someone congrats when i'm not sure if they've put on a few pounds or are in pregnancy transition stage, lol. i'm glad the pregnancy is going well though!

I think I say this every single week but I just cannot believe you are already 17 weeks! Remember that day you told us all?? And now you're showing and every knows and you'll have a little baby with you in no time!! So happy for you :)

Aww. Little butterfly flutters are a wonderful thing to feel.

Wacky hormones are one of the worst parts of being pregnant. I once told Jeff that I was overly sensitive to things touching me one day. Later on I started crying because he wasn't giving me a kiss when he walked by, or touching my belly. Poor guy was just trying to not add to my overwhelmed feelings about being touched by everything. lol Thank God he loves me because I was odd at times.

I'm so glad that E was sensitive to the hormones and didn't say anything bone-headed. Good for him!
