The Peach

How far along?
13 weeks

Total weight gain: At my doctor's appointment yesterday, they weighed me at one pound less than I was at my 8 week appointment. Which means I'm hovering right around my pre-pregnancy weight. The coming weeks should show some gainage. Both the nurse and I agreed that the one pound decrease is nothing to be concerned with. It's understandable because I've been sick and also because I have been more active with the warm weather and more cautious about what types of food I'm eating. I've basically eliminated pop, and that can make a big difference. I'm considering showing a belly picture sometime in the next few weeks. FD's been taking them almost weekly, and there is starting to be a noticeable difference between the 5 week picture and the way I look now, but I don't quite look pregnant to the unsuspecting eye just yet.

Maternity clothes? Not yet - I am planning to do some shopping this weekend because I'm heading to Toronto to go to a Beth Moore conference - have I told you that yet?

Sleep: Good, no complaints. It's my favorite thing to do.

Best moment this week: Hearing the heartbeat. And getting our first baby gift.

Movement: Not yet - maybe in about a month's time.

Gender: No idea, but I still keep saying HE.

Labor Signs: Nope.

Belly Button in or out? Innie

What I miss: Going to bed with my husband. I have been going to bed so early that he cannot bring himself to come with me. So, most nights, he just tucks me in and then heads back out to the living room. At least this way I get to fall asleep before he starts snoring.

Weekly Wisdom: E wasn't able to go with me to my appointment yesterday, so he missed out on hearing the heartbeat. My cousin suggested that I could have taken my camera and taken a video of it so he could have heard it. Unfortunately, her suggestion came a little too late :) ... I will remember this for next time, if he can't come so that he can be a part of it.

Milestones: I guess this week's milestones would be the same as the best moments - hearing the heartbeat and getting our first gift :)

See you next week for the 14 week update! Wow, the time is flying by.

I bet shopping for maternity will be so fun for..."HE" so I guess you are thinking it's a little boy?

Sorry the recording the heart beat advice was too late. When I was pregnant with D, Andy was at teachers college in north bay, and I called him on his cell phone in the middle of class so he could hear it. tee hee!

You should definitely take the camera next time (whether E goes or not). It's just cool to have it on video, forever!

I almost went to the Beth Moore confrence. I'm so bummed that I'm not able to go - have a wonderful time! She's so great!
