The Words I Never Thought I'd Hear

This past week was very busy for me. As the week drew to a close on Thursday night, FD and I were sitting on the couch relaxing after cleaning the house and finishing most of the prep for the weekend (which I am hopefully now enjoying - since this is a scheduled post).

I had submitted my marked papers that day and had finished transcribing my data. All of the official school goals I had set to complete by Christmas were done. The shopping was done, the presents were wrapped. And we were ready to head into Cramp Family Christmas Weekend relaxed and ready to enjoy time with his family.

And then a conversation I never thought possible took place.

Me: "Wow. Looks like we made it through this week."
FD: "Yes. We did. And you did a great job."
Me: "Thanks. I think I handled the week okay."
FD: "You handled everything really well and were so organized. You hardly got stressed at all."
Me: "Thanks."

.... and then ... the words I never thought I'd hear ....

Him: "And I think your lists really helped this week."

Um, yeah they did. They always do.
