I want my mommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy!!

I’ve always heard Mama’s talk about how bad it is to be sick when you are a Mom because you still have the little chillens’ to watch over.

But I never knew. I never really knew.

Until now.

We had a busy, exhausting weekend.

Evalyn has been showing signs of having a cold for a few days now and has just been off.

But she seemed to be feeling quite a bit better yesterday.

Unfortunately, I was not.

I spent some of the afternoon making multiple trips to the washroom with an issue that is not polite to talk about in public. But, honestly, that’s not all that uncommon for me.

And my body and legs were so achy last night I could hardly stand it. I tried a bubble bath but that didn’t do much. Again, achy joints is not uncommon for me (especially when it is damp weather which it was yesterday) so again, I didn’t think much of it.

I didn’t think much of any of it.

Until 1 am when Evalyn woke up, the Dude brought her to me and I had to leave her laying on the bed with him as I raced to the washroom to toss my cookies.

Let’s just say it might be a long long time until I want to be friends with queso cheese again.

From 1 am on, the rest of the night basically consisted of Evalyn and I taking turns being up. Unfortunately, when it was her turn, that meant it was also my turn. I wonder how she would like it if I woke her up every time I woke up?

So, needless to say, this is a sleepy, sleepy morning.

I want to lay down on the floor, kicking and screaming,

“I want my mommmmmmmmmmmy”.

But guess what?

I can’t.

Because I am the Mommy now.

Oh, dear... If I was up there I'd come right over and snuggle that cute babe. We just got over a stomach bug which has been followed with a great chest cold. Oh.joy. I hope you feel better soon and that it doesn't spread to anyone else in your house! xo

Welcome to the club.

Last fall, I was preggo with Livie. Cass and Gabe had H1N1 (the flu). Chris had it too. And so did I. But, did it matter? NOPE. I still had to take care of everyone while my husband 'rested' and got better.

I was sick for a frigging month.

ugh i know how you feel. So horrible being sick when little one still counts on you to do all the normal things for them!

Hope you get better fast!

That sucks. :( Em and I have colds right now too, but ours consist of just stuffy noses and sore throats (and an adorable cough in Em's case).

Has Evalyn been napping more while she's been sick to give you a chance to catch up on sleep?

said an extra prayer for you. :)

Oh yes, this can be tough! Fortunately, I've only been really sick three times since Roscoe as born, and they were all short lived. But we're currently sharing some sort of virus (i've lost my voice completely) and it's been hard for everyone to keep up. This morning's blogroll contained higher than normal number of posts about sick momma's! It's the season, I guess!

I hope you feel better soon and that E doesn't catch whatever you've got!
