Well, I'm still pregnant this morning. No baby yet. Many of my friends had guessed dates in and around this past weekend for the Monkey to arrive, so it looks like they are outta luck! Sorry, gals.
I must admit - I was kind of hoping that this weekend would be it.
First of all, my oven broke on Thursday, my car broke on Friday, so I figured my water would definitely get the hint and break on Saturday. No such luck.
I also figured that since I went to my cousin's bachelorette party that was 1.5 hours away on Saturday night, my luck would have it that the baby would decide that would be an excellent time for me to go into labor. Again, no such luck.
One thing I have discovered over the past few days is that Mr. Google is not always my friend. I have to admit that I have been incessantly googling things, hoping that somehow, magically, Mr. Google will tell me I am going to go into labor soon.
But, Mr. Google takes the easy way out. His answer for everything is the same....
"A return of morning sickness can indicate that labor will begin sometime within the next few hours to the next few weeks".
"Women who note losing their mucous plug have indicated that labour has begun within the next few hours to the next few weeks".
"Some women note a sharp, stabbing pain in their whahooige (yes, Mr. Google said wahoogie) near the end of pregnancy. This can indicate that dilation is beginning and means that labor may begin anytime within the next few hours to the next few weeks".
"Many women notice a sense of lightening as the baby drops late in pregnancy. This can occur a few hours to a few weeks before labour begins".
"Cramping in late pregnancy indicates that labour will begin sometime in the next few hours to the next few weeks".
So, thank you Mr. Google, for your undeniable wisdom.
Now I know the truth - I will have a baby anytime within the next few hours to the next few weeks.
Who could have guessed?

Bahaha. Funny! But yet not!
I lost my mucous plug a couple of hours before labour started. I was worried that I would lose it and not even notice, but it was definitely hard to miss!
And the sharp pain down there started about a week before.
Didnt't experience any of the others so I'm not sure about them. It's definitely true that everyone is different, and he or she will come when they're ready.
Just keep enjoying trying to make it happen. ;)
I'm with Jen. He/she is coming soon.
Definitely w/in a week. :)
lol that's funny! Good thing u jotted down these very useful information. Im due un 4 weeks and I might have tried to google these questions too. :) I'm a new follower but I like reading your blog considering that you'll only be delivering a few weeks before me.
Oh, the interminable last "few hours to few weeks"!
Ha :) This made me chuckle :) Hope you have that little booger soon!
laura told me you posted a funny blog today and she wasn't lying. wahoogie, aaahahaha. :-)
Oh dude. I'm totally excited for this round of birth to happen! I know you are too. Hang in there!
I can't believe there is still no little girl or boy monkey to play with yet. I bet it happens sometime in the next few hours to the next few weeks. ;) XOXO
My daughter is due the 24th, and went to the hospital this morning, thinking"this is it" she was dialated 3 cm, but contractions were not close enough, so they sent her home, with a lot of back pain. She has been resting today, but because of health issues they will induce by Friday, if he hasn't made his appearance. I was just checking in on you, since I knew your due date was close. The waiting is the hard part. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Jackie
Lol. How funny that EVERY thing you've been experiencing could be hours or weeks! I am seriously checking my phone every so often because I just KNOW it's going to be soon!
Wow. That's a span. Here's hoping it's closer to a few hours.
I hope you go swiftly and smoothly and tomorrow.

Oh, the joys of the longest hours of your life. ;) Just to let you know, I had no hints at when the boys were coming. No clue that I lost my mucous plugs (and I *know* my body). They both just came on so quickly that I barely had time to get to the hospital.
I will tell you this: I stood up one morning and I thought my water broke. So off we flew to the doctor's and I started the calls to friends and family...only to find out that my water didn't break. I was peeing down my leg from the Garrett lounging on my bladder. :p Nothing like calling your Father to tell him you just peed down your leg.
Lucy I have been googling as well, pretty much the same questions! I feel your pain. Little guy is due tomorrow and I feel like he is never going to come out! Keeping you guys in our prayers as well for a healthy baby and delivery!
