Weekend Progress

This weekend we made some good progress on things around here. The Dude has been working a ton lately so it was great to have him home for a day so I could put him to work like a slave driver he could help out with some things that I am not able to do myself.

I just realized that I don't really have a good "before" picture of the baby's room ... but here's what I have got.... This is what the baby's room looked like once I was finished school and I started changing the room from my office to the baby's bedroom.

Since I finished the scrapbook cupboard and I had managed to get almost everything out of the room before the weekend, we the Fabulous Dude spent a few hours on Saturday tearing out the old carpet from the room.

I felt pretty much helpless the entire time so I tried to busy myself with other things ... but mostly I just took photos of him doing the hard work.


There are some things in the room that we just got rid of, such as an old desk and bookshelf, but there were other things that we needed to find a new home for, such as the filing cabinet and printer. Our "office" now resides in my bedroom closet. This is definitely not the most ideal place for our filing cabinet and printer, since I generally need to get to them once or twice a week, but it will do.

The room now looks like this - waiting for the new carpet to be put in sometime in the next few weeks.

I think this might be the last post I write about the nursery until it's done and actually looks like a baby is going to inhabit it. I'm getting very excited - I made a little crafty project on Friday and can't wait to see it all come together!
