I don't have a lot of time to write but I know you are all sitting on the edge of your seats waiting to hear about my weekend, so here's a little recap.
This weekend was a long weekend (Victoria Day) for us here in the Great White North.
We spent Friday-Sunday afternoon at the Lake on my parent's boat
A LOT of rain through the night Friday and all day Saturday meant lots of cards, movies, and reading while tucked away inside the boat.
Nika got a little bit bored with all the laying around but she managed to find herself a cozy place to rest. Can you spot her in the photos below?
I'm not sure how or why, but she decided she'd be most comfortable tucked away in the tiny space under the bed, behind our duffel bag.
A beautifully sunny, warm day on Sunday meant time spent out on the lake catching some rays and having some fun.
There were lots of (gross) dead fish floating around in the water - you could not have paid me to get in there (even if it had been warm enough) but Nika had a blast fishing off the swim platform and getting a nice bath.
Sunday night, we headed to bro and SIL's for the night. Once we got there, we went over to Emily's for the LOST finale. Included was this delicious cake. Soooooooooo yum-o! I loved watching LOST but I am so sad for it to be over. If I get my mind cleared up enough, I just might write a post with my thoughts.
Monday we spent the morning helping Bro and SIL pack for their move next weekend and then came home to enjoy the warm, sunny afternoon at home. The BFF and I finished planting the garden while the FD transformed the chicken coop into something much more functional and esthetically appealing. I didn't get any photos but perhaps some will come in the future.
