CSN Review

A while back, CSN stores contacted me to do a review of a product on their site. The CSN sites are fabulous. They feature everything from kitchen gadgets, to furniture, to recessed lighting, to pet supplies!

I am so excited to have the opportunity to review The Cuisinart Automatic Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker!

I already have a long list of the kinds of ice cream I want to try. Doesn't that mint chip look delicious? I have a feeling this bad boy will become this pregnant lady's best friend over the course of the hot summer!

What flavor should I make first?

Watch for my review coming soon!

We received this as a wedding gift and have only made frozen yogurt yet (because the ingredients for ice cream sent my thighs running!). Here's the recipe we use - be sure to freeze that bowl the full 24 hours or you'll get soup! http://mckevitts.blogspot.com/2009/09/homemade-fro-yo.html

Enjoy your fun appliance!

Oh my goodness that looks good. I've currently got a flavor called Candy Jar....it's caramel ice cream with peanut butter cups, peanut brittle, chocolate covered rice crispies, and hunks of chocolate and caramel. It's amazing. Would that be to ambitious to try? ;)

oh, yea!!! I'm thrilled that you are reviewing the ice cream maker :)

I vote for a fresh fruit ice cream -- blueberry cream cheese, strawberry, dark chocolate raspberry or cherry!

YUM!

If you're looking for a good vanilla base, I highly recommend the recipe we always use :)

You are so going to {heart} your ice cream maker. We got one for a wedding gift (I didn't register for it though) and I let it sit on the shelf for over four years. I finally got it out and life hasn't been the same since. The mint chip is our favorite, but rocky road is very good too. And in the summer time with fresh berries available, strawberry sorbet is AMAZING, but very time consuming as you have to strain out the seeds. It is still worth it though.

After I use the bowl and it's clean and dry, I put right back in the freezer, so I can ice cream whenever the urge comes. :)

Ooo you lucky girl! Homemade ice cream is the best. We used to make peach ice cream in the summer when we were kids.

And I may have an ice cream maker from our wedding registry that has never been opened :)
