And I'm stuffed....

It feels so strange to be posting something other than our Real Life Romance story on a Wednesday! Kind of sad, in fact. At least I have something wildly delicious to post about instead.

Last night, we had the opportunity to go to Copacabana's for dinner with M & L (Shhhh, don't tell my Aunt S and Uncle T! Don't worry, guys, you can still take us there, too). Trust me when I say that going here is a big deal. The fabulous dude has been dying to try this restaurant for ages and this was our third attempt to actually do so. The first two times we were unsuccessful because of the long wait. I guess we aren't the only people who have wanted to try it out.

If you're unfamiliar with this restaurant, or ones like it, it is a Brazilian steakhouse. Do not go here if you are a vegetarian. There is a large buffet with all sorts of delicious side dishes and salads and then carvers come around to your table with something like 14 varieties of meat to offer you. You have a card on your table that says "Heat it Up" on one side and "Cool it Down" on the other side. When you want the to bring you meat, you tell them to heat it up and when you want a break you tell the to cool it down.

I stuffed myself silly last night! The salad bar itself was so yummy that it was difficult to not fill myself up on that. And all the meat they brought around was SO delicious. Some of my favourites were the Parmesan pork tenderloin, the boneless leg of lamb and the philly cheese steak (prime rib wrapped in mozzarella cheese). All of this meat is cooked on a spit and they come around and cut off a small piece to put on your plate. Then they bring around grilled pineapple to finish of the meal. Oh man that stuff was good. I think I ate enough to last me for a year. I didn't get my camera out in time to get any good shots of our plates when they were heaping full, but I did take a few pictures throughout the night.

And although I did not get a cupcake yesterday (sorry, Shaina and Jenny), I did get to devour way too many a few of these beauties.

Deep fried bananas coated with cinnamon! They bring these to your table, along with cornbread muffins, to cleanse your palate between different types of meat. Are you kidding me? I would have sat there and eaten these all night if the fabulous dude had let me. Let me just say, my palate was definitely cleansed.

After dinner, we rolled ourselves we walked back to the car and we took a little detour so that we could get a view of the falls. Of course, according to L, checking out the falls is just part of the experience! There was a beautiful rainbow in the sky, but my camera didn't capture it very well. Unfortunately, the FD was having a hard time functioning.

Thanks so much, M and L, you are way too good to us!

Today is the last day to enter my giveaway!

Hi Lucy!
Oh my gosh! That restaurant sounds amazing!!! I think Jason would leave feeling sick for lack of willpower. ;)
The falls being required cracks me up! Every time we would go to NF, Jason would REQUIRE that we make the trip to see the falls. When he was in college, he was 30 minutes away, so we went A LOT! Even in the dead middle of winter when you're freezing to death, we HAD to go. I used to tease him about it, but now it's been almost ten years since we went, and I'm missing it. Gotta get those passports, darn't!! {Swimming didn't seem like a good idea to Jason. He's such a party pooper. Something about rapids and whirlpools!!PShaw!!} ;)

We have a Brazilian steakhouse here, but I've never been and didn't know it was like that. I'll have to put it on my "to try" list.
Of course the Falls are obligatory!
