Here I go, here I go, here I go again...

Well, folks, I'm heading away again. I will be gone for a week and a bit, although I will still be checking up on you occasionally.

We're leaving this afternoon and heading up north to visit the fabulous dude's parents. We'll be staying there until Sunday at which time I will head an hour west to my Grandma and Grandpa's cottage, where they live from May-October. The fabulous dude will leave me there and return to our home. I will be staying with my grand parents from Sunday night-Thursday (at which time I will be completely out of the blogging loop). My grandma has a doctor's appointment to go to in a city 3 hours away, so she asked if I could take her so that we can make the trip there and back in the same day. That much driving would just be too hard on her to do herself in one day. I'm so excited because my friend Be will be joining me at the cottage for one of the days. We are praying for lovely weather so we can enjoy one of the best beaches in Ontario.

My grand parent's cottage is one of my favourite places in the whole wide world. In fact, the fabulous dude and I honeymooned there. No, my grand parents were not there with us. The things I love the most about this place? The funnel cakes and the cosmic fries. Please tell me none of you are surprised that deep fried food is at the top of my list? Also, it's pretty cool that the grocery store there is owned by my dad's second cousin and is called "[my maiden name]'s". Here are some photos from our honeymoon at the beach (including cosmic fries as featured in photo #1)...

Our honeymoon to the beach is also when I went off the deep end made a spontaneous decision to get my nose pierced. Just thought I'd throw that in there ...

On Thursday, my mother in law will pick me up from the cottage and we will head a few hours south to meet SIL #1 and her two daughters half way between their home in Michigan and the FD's hometown. We'll be bringing the two littles back to MIL's house for a few days while my sister-in-law and brother-in-law go camping together.

Then, the fabulous dude will rejoin me at his parent's house on Friday, where we will stay for the weekend to hang out with our nieces, returning on Sunday July 19th.

Confused, yet?

So, I'll be sort of around over the weekend then I'll be completely gone from Monday-Wednesday and then I might reappear a little bit near the end of the week. I have part 3 of the Real Life Romance series scheduled and ready to go for Wednesday. But ... lately I have been having major problems with scheduled posts not publishing at the right time so please forgive me if RLR does not show up until late in the day on Thursday.

I've scoured my bookshelf for books that I have been waiting to read or want to re-read. I am taking zero school related books with me and focusing simply on leisurely reading. Blessings to you all over the weekend and through next week. I'll miss you and will be eager to catch up on your lives when I get back!

P.S. Today is my father in law's birthday. I don't think he reads this blog, but hey, Happy Birthday to Ya Old Man!

Have a wonderful time! That beach does look amazing :)

If you're looking for a really fun read ... (books I loved growing up are always fun to read again as an "adult"), I'd recommend the Christy Miller Series.

Wow this is the summer of traveling for us, eh? I just got back and now you are leaving! Have a great time. That beach looks amazing.

(My in-laws are moving my BIL to school and are going to drive right by you! I am so jealous.)

Love the FD's baseball cap in the first photo! Go Cards!
I'm jealous of all my friends who's inlaws either spring for Gulf Coast beach vacation every year, or have cottages "up north" in Michigan or Ontario. I think I'm almost the only person I know who doesn't have that ;)

I hope you (all) have a wonderful trip! Nothing beats the beach, and it sounds like a great oppportunity to be with friends and family. I will miss you. I'm sure your garden will have taken over the known world by the time you're back. ;)
Talk to you soon,
Tricia
