I've never joined up on Works for me Wednesday before because I didn't really feel like I have anything amazing to share. I enjoy reading some of the tips that are posted and have made use of many of them. But today when I realized it was being posted as backwards edition, I decided to do so because I have a dilemma and I need help!I have a stinky sweater. I got it for Christmas and the make up is 60% acrylic, 25% nylon and 15% wool. APPARENTLY, the tag says hand was only in cold water. Well, folks, I don't always read the care instructions on my clothing in time. I washed the sweater in the machine and now it stinks. Like musty, nasty stink. I have tried hand washing since then, hoping to get the stink out. It still stinks. Does it stink because I put it in the washing machine? I really love the sweater and it wasn't exactly cheap so I don't want to hear that it's doomed to stinkdom for the rest of its life. Does anyone, ANYONE, have any suggestions as to how I can un-stinkify my dear sweater?
