Mission Accomplished

The Dude and I have plans to head up to his hometown for a few days later this week. Since we’ll be at his parents place, and I know that at the Christmas holidays we’ll have a ton of stuff to pack into our little car (babies = stuff galore), I decided a few weeks ago to make it my goal to have all my shopping and wrapping done for his side of the family by the time we go, so that I can reduce the amount of crap stuff we have to take with us on Christmas.

This past Thursday I realized that I had less than a week left to accomplish this goal.

And I was, um, not quite there yet.

So I got down to business!

On Thursday and Friday I wrapped.

On Saturday we shopped.

On Sunday I wrapped some more.

And as of 4 pm Sunday afternoon, my mission was accomplished!

I officially am done all my shopping and wrapping for his side of the family.

And let me tell you, it feels good!

The house is decorated, that huge task is completed, and I am feeling festive.

Let the holidays begin!

If I pay you a lot of money, can you come and do all of that just as quickly for me? :) You're amazing! I would never be able to do that... Impressive. :) Enjoy your trip, too!

Wow! Go you! I've got all of Luke's presents bought and wrapped, but that's about it. I need to take a page out of your book cause I sure would like to be done thinking about it!

I thought I was good, being done shopping. Then it occurred to me that I had to wrap it all!! I'm jealous you're done!

Wow. You rock. I haven't even started. I'm a terrible Christmas procrastinator when it comes to shopping. But then, it's just my kids that we shop for. When baby 2 was born we trained the family into not expecting presents from us anymore.

You're my hero. I'm only half done with shopping. And I've not wrapped a thing. Though I've purchased paper and tags. Hopefully, by tomorrow, that's rectified!

How in the world do you manage to get everything done and nurse a baby??? I am in awe.

I have declared for the last 7 years that I will be done by November for Christmas shopping - and I finally made it happen this year!

Isn't it nice to be totally done and not have to even think about it?! We are done as well and even though it was a little frustrating, it was nice to just enjoy black friday! Hope that sweet little girl is doing well.

You are a rock star! I thought I was doing good- but I am no where near done. And you have an infant to care for. You are awesome.
