A Sweet Gift

On Saturday, I was surprised to find a notice from the UPS drop off letting me know that I had a parcel waiting for me. I wasn't expecting anything so I was very interested to see what it could be! I stopped in to the pick up location on my way to the baby shower and was so surprised to see this lovely gift from my sweet friend Jenny! I was so excited, I made Logi hold the parcel while I took around 50 a few pictures of the lovely wrapping paper!

I tore into the package as quickly as I could - which was not that quickly because my hands were frozen solid and this girl must have used 6 rolls of tape on that box!

When I finally got into the package ... I found this:

For Christmas, Jenny received a meat mallet and in one of our many, many e-mail conversations, I told her that was a kitchen tool I have never owned. Well, she actually ended up receiving two and was so sweet to send me one!

It felt like Christmas had come all over again. Thanks for the lovely gift, my friend!

Aww, that is so sweet! And that reminds me...I cannot believe it took so long for you to get my Christmas card. It was like over 2 weeks. Do y'all still use the Pony Express?

Love it!!

That is my "special" wrapping paper that I now use every year (I may or may not have bought out Walmart two years in a row so I could be the only one to own Hermie wrapping paper).

And I was so afraid that it would rip...so that's why I put so much tape all over it :) Ha! I didn't want the paper to get caught on anything and then our addresses to come flying off! Glad it made it there in one piece!

Hope you get some use out of it :) Love you!!

YAY!!! I lost my meat mallet years ago but I can honestly say the only thing it tenderized was a few nails in the wall when I couldn't find the hammer. Have a great weekend!!! XOXO

Kitchen gadgets are so much fun. I don't own a meat mallet, but I've never said "oh I wish I had one" So...please share, what will you do with this?
