Dear Spring

Dear Spring,

Please come soon. Please come and make winter go away. When you do, please also make the snow, the slush, the icy roads, the slippery driveways and this icky yicky dry scaly skin leave too. I wouldn't mind if you could also get rid of the subzero temperatures. After making those things go away, could you please bring some sunshine, fresh flowers and green grass? A few robins and green leaves would be nice too.

If it's not too much to ask, please do this for me ... SOON!

Thanks, Lucy

What a cute picture! I've been tired of winter this week, too. It is just too cold!

Oh, I sure hope Spring gets your letter and answers soon! Perhaps we'll find out on Feb. 2nd, when the groundhog lets us know if spring is right around the corner!

BTW, your new photo on your profile is so pretty! :-)

Hi again Lucy! I tried to e-mail you directly about Benjamin Button but I couldn't find a link to e-mail so I thought I would give you a quick review of the movie on your blog if you are thinking of going to see it...(sorry I copied and pasted from earlier...) :-)

Just a quick review if you are deciding if you should spend $10 at the movie theater...($7.50 for the matinee!)or wait for the DVD. Benjamin Button was an intriguing character and the movie had me hooked from the opening scene. It is long at 2 hours 45 min. and resembled a somber Forrest Gump. The movie spans 70 years of history in the south and the reverse age progression that Brat Pitt's character "Benjamin" experiences is believable and thought provoking. Lots of nuances make me want to return with my husband and watch again from a new perspective. Dark, slow, and several moral issues make this one for the grown ups only. Enjoy, and if you go, let me know your thoughts...I'm anxious to "talk" about it without giving away the ending!
