Now if I could just get my four to sleep past 6am!

Blessings,
Mel
Please feel free to stop by: Trailing After GodMelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00410114935534301370noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8264745114955941748.post-33579172941808329242011-02-07T17:50:32.323-05:002011-02-07T17:50:32.323-05:00Oh, how this post brought back memories! I was not a happy camper! We were at Camp Omagh and nothing would sooth him except a walk in the stroller. The time goes by so quickly. One of these days, you'll be sneaking into her room to crawl in bed with her, smell her hair and feel her warmth. Then you'll count to 500 to see if you can stay just a little bit *longer* without waking her up.

You are such a good mama. I am so happy for you and Ev!Tereasahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06702809283384481445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8264745114955941748.post-7303733294896321192011-02-04T21:42:03.396-05:002011-02-04T21:42:03.396-05:00When I was a nanny, the second baby I had was a HO...When I was a nanny, the second baby I had was a HORRIBLE SLEEPER. I used to do my own version of the 500. I'd walk 25 laps around her room, patting, singing, and swaying, then I'd stand beside her crib, holding her, and sway back and forth 100 times, then I'd methodically place her back in the crib, removing my presence (chest, arm, fingers) inch by inch. It was exhausting.

I always blamed it on the fact that I was a young, full-time nanny.

Then, tonight, we were watching my friend's 11 month old, and I was standing next to his pack-n-play, humming him to sleep and swaying. And I realized I was counting till 100! OMG! It's followed me!Brittany Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04316417410513395767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8264745114955941748.post-10869197876491019312011-02-04T21:35:37.795-05:002011-02-04T21:35:37.795-05:00Ohhhh you are doing so much better than me with th...Ohhhh you are doing so much better than me with the sleep stuff. Granted, I think our lives would be worlds different if G hadn't been sick for months, but, sigh. Congrats to you, mama.Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16377594606599796121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8264745114955941748.post-57921841687348529772011-02-04T13:07:02.075-05:002011-02-04T13:07:02.075-05:00I'm totally on the fence about when we'll ...I'm totally on the fence about when we'll transition from co-sleeping to the baby sleeping in her own room. I'm also on the fence about how I feel about pacifiers. But I don't think that there's one right answer. I think every baby and every family is different, and the trick is figuring out what works best for you, and most importantly, your baby. Glad you seem to be having some luck with the sleep stuff!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8264745114955941748.post-29066085141854336452011-02-03T21:37:55.577-05:002011-02-03T21:37:55.577-05:00Glad that it is working for you.
