Ain't Nothing Better

There ain't nothing better than a weekend spent with the girls! This weekend was so full of fun activities and surprises.

On Friday night, my brother and Logi arrived in time for dinner. We spent the evening watching (or re-watching) the first few episodes of LOST Season 5. In a few weeks, we'll be heading to their house for the weekend to watch the rest! We always have to be refreshed in time for the next season to start.

On Saturday, Logi and I got ready and headed over to Caley's for a baby shower. I've written about my friend Becky before. She and her husband are looking forward to welcoming their son, Jacob, into their family! We are all so excited to meet him.

At the shower, we enjoyed delicious crepes (thanks to the FD!), chips and dip, and great company! It was so fun to see Becky opening all of the gifts for Jacob.

After the shower, the FD and I headed to Katie's to celebrate her niece's second birthday. We enjoyed a delicious dinner. Katie's mom always out does herself with her cooking! Thanks, Ma!

On Sunday, I had another day full of girl time as a bunch of us headed to the states to hit up David's Bridal and pick out bridesmaid's dresses for Caley's wedding. What a fun day! Some of the girls picked out their dresses but some of the others we're too indecisive to pick one out. (Not mentioning any names - ahem - me and Em).

After we were all shopped out - seriously that place was mayhem, and we got their super early, before the store was even open - we headed to The Olive Garden for lunch. I haven't eaten at the Olive Garden in years and I was in heaven. I ate about 6 million bread sticks and the most delicious pasta ever. We had a super cute waiter - at least Caley's mom thought so - right Peg?

I was tired after the busy weekend ... but it was a good tired. It was a tired that comes when you are busy and running around doing things you love.

What an awesome weekend!! I'm glad some girls were able to find stuff at David's Bridal. I went there first for my wedding and the lady was awful. She was so not helpful and kept giving me dresses that were ick. Needless to say, I didn't order from them :) But I have heard others with great experiences...and I love the colors they offer for the bridesmaids dresses!

Do you think the FD could make me some crepes..say..maybe on the 22 of February for breakfast?? Just wondering.

Oh the bread sticks! Just mentioning them makes my mouth water!
What a shame we couldn't decide on a dress...I guess we'll have to endure another girls shopping trip. And more bread sticks! Oh, and I'm definitely getting that pasta thing you had. It was the best!! Chicken parm...bah!

What a super fun weekend, and a great way to spend your last free one before school starts! I like the color of blue on the bridesmaids dress, are they all going to be blue?

Wait a minute! My sister outdoes herself with her cooking? Not that I've ever thought she was a bad cook, but I spent a lot of time at her house when I was younger and I seem to remember a lot of meals where cream of mushroom soup was a pivotal ingredient and a dash of garlic powder was about as adventurous as she got with seasoning!

Fun, fun! I went dress shopping (I'm the maid of honor in my friend's wedding this summer) about a month ago, and we did find the dress I needed! I still haven't bought it, though...I wish the dresses were a bit more...economical. ;)

What an awesome weekend! I can't seem to understand "Lost" though.... Oh the Olive Garden. Hands down one of my favorite restraunts. I always get thier chicken alfredo and I swear I've never had it better. At our Olive Garden in PA, there is usually at least an hours wait. Oh girl, you have me craving it now! Lol!

Fun weekend and girls night! I'm so glad that you are a LOST fan, we just love that show and have watch parties all the time! Can't wait for the new season, but kinda bittersweet, can't it go on for a little longer?!?
